Mt Hotham/Dinner Plain
If you're after a winter holiday to remember then Mt Hotham Alpine Resort the right place.
Hotham Village is located in the heart of the Victorian Alps, surrounded by Alpine National Park. Classic Australian wilderness - think snowgums, rolling mountain ridges, crisp fresh air...it's breathtaking. The village itself is at 1750m, just below the summit of Mount Hotham (1861m) and is easily accessible, thanks to Australia's newest touring route, The Great Alpine Road. Hotham has outstanding ski and snowboarding terrain with 320 hectares serviced by 13 lifts (for all abilities, yet prides itself on Double Black!), first class resort facilities (including extensive ski-in ski-out accommodation options), and scenery that will take your breath away.
Hotham has now extended snowmaking into Heavenly Valley. This will increase the terrain under snowmaking from 17 to 25 hectares, incorporating 30 hydrant points and 14 new towers - 4 down imagine & 10 down Imagine & 10 down Snake Gully creating top to bottom skiing sooner (& later)! Imagine, Snake Gully and Milky Way should be up and firing for the school holidays.
The village of Dinner Plain, is nestled in the middle of the Great Alpine Road, 10 kilometres from the panoramic mountain views of Mt Hotham, and gives today's traveller the choice of outdoor recreation in all seasons. In winter follow the cross country trails, toboggan or ease into downhill skiing on gentle runs before you take to the legendary runs of Mt Hotham. Facilities at Dinner Plains include a hotel, licensed restaurants, licensed café & patisserie, licensed supermarket, two tennis courts and snowsport equipment hire. Skiing is downhill and cross country with a beginners' Poma for skiers and snowboarders and 35km of x country trails around the village. Lessons are also available.
Heli-Link to Falls Creek & enjoy an additional 450 hectares of terrain on the same lift pass. So, come and join us in the Victorian Alps. It's the best place to be in winter.
